The focus of the day was on high-level project details, with particular attention paid to governance and funding issues, while the structure of the meeting was a combination of discussion and group exercises. The steering committee reviewed the “big questions” posed in the 2015 kickoff meeting and which remained to be answered, and then concentrated on foundational elements, including mission and vision statements, TARO’s audience, the digital collection development policy, budgetary considerations, the potential organizational home of TARO, and the technical infrastructure.

The meeting was held at the University of Texas at Austin Libraries and included members of the TARO Steering Committee.
